In addition to his professional roles, Dr. Khuhro is a prolific writer, contributing to esteemed local English publications such as DAWN, The News International, and the Business Recorder. His wide-ranging articles cover topics from tax to GDP ratio, the influence of global entities like the WTO and IMF, financial crises in countries like US and Japan, and issues pertaining to education.
Recently, he has published two books. The first is a commentary on the National Accountability Ordinance, incorporating the amendments made in 2022, published by Pakistan Law House, a reputed legal publisher. The second book involves the Sindh Transparency and Right to Information Act 2016, for which he crafted a Sindhi translation, along with an introductory commentary and preface.
Presently, he is vigorously advocating for the implementation of section 6 of the law. Following an order by the Honourable High Court of Sindh, Karachi, for the Chief Secretary of Sindh to submit a personal affidavit endorsing the law's implementation, the Secretary complied and initiated the implementation process, backed by affidavits from 30 other departmental heads.
Further to his achievements, Dr. Khuhro is focusing on judicial reform. He recently visited the Chief Court of Gilgit Baltistan, which has adopted digitalization in their court system, and he is planning to write the first-ever book on judicial reform in Pakistan.
Embodied by hard work, honesty, and meticulous due diligence, Dr. Khuhro's professional ethic is commendable. For further information, he can be contacted at murtazakhuhro@gmail.com.
